News : Assam Boy Clears UPSC

Nayan Jyoti Nath, a PhD Linguistic student of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), is the lone candidate from Assam to have cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination this year. Nath, who hails from Jamugurihat in Sonitpur district, is the son of a farmer, Maheswar Nath.

“It is a rare honour for me to have cleared the UPSC examination, more so as I did my studies in Assamese medium,” he said.
