Iris Scan:

This is another biometric technology used in mobile phones. How much light reaches the retina on the back of the eyeball is a unique pattern that can be mathematically defined. Two systems are used to scan the retina: visible wavelengths and near infrared. The pattern has been recorded and translated into the data which is then compared against the stored data for the match. Biometrics on smartphones have increased data security, made payments secure and increased the pace of processes in various other applications. The technology is less time consuming and convenient too.
