Essential Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL:

(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Civilian Medical Officer is an adviser to the unit Commander on health related matters. His/her normal duties are as under :-

Essential Qualifications:

(A) EDUCATIONAL:

(i) Post-Graduate Degree in Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics from recognized University or Institute; OR
(ii) Post Graduate Degree in Mathematics with one paper in Economics from a recognized University or Institute; OR
(iii) Post Graduate Degree in Statistics with one paper in Economics, from a recognized University or Institute; OR iv) Post-Graduate Degree in Commerce with one paper in Economics,
from a recognized University or Institute.

(B) EXPERIENCE:

Two years experience in collection, compilation, analysis and interpretation of statistical data relating to Transport Sector, in the Government organization.

DUTIES:

Supervising the collection, compilation, scrutiny and tabulation of data for publications on Road, Road Transport and Shipping Sector. Economic analysis of data for the preparation of reports/research studies in respect of subjects under the administrative purview of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway and Ministry of Shipping.

HQ: New Delhi.
